USS STEPHEN HAWKING NCV - 4744400

USS Stephen Hawking: Commissioned on the 46th Anniversary of Man Landing on the Moon

Duty bLog

This is the Duty bLog for the club.

Past and Present events for the chapter are being posted here. It will start with the things that we did as the 49th Marine Strike Group, and it will continue as how we continue along as the USS Stephen Hawking. When we moved away from the San Francisco area it took a few months. Then we chose to make the full break and start on a journey as our very own Coorospondance Chapter in Starfleet.

Since then we have become not only comfortable as our very own chapter, but we have become very sucessful as a chapter. We have a long way to go, and we would like to engage and keep our other members who are far away involved in the fun that we want to share. Starfleet is a great place to share our experiences in Fandom. We all share the dream of a future of harmony and love in the world.

There was a greater message in the 50 year old vision that TV writer Eugene Roddenberry shared with the world when Star Trek came into being, and the subsquent incarnations as Star Trek the Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Enterprise. We look forward to the new TV show in 2017. We have enjoyed most of the movie offerings, and have actually become involved in some of the Fan Made Productions that you can see on YouTube and other places on the internet.

As time moves forward we hope that our futures will always include Star Trek, and its special message that it brings to humanity.

THE RETURN TO JPL OPEN HOUSE 2016

The crew returned to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory this weekend. It was a better experience than before because JPL used a different method to get guests into the facility this time. There was a ticket distribution system that was set up, where you were allowed to reserve 5 tickets at a time. The tickets were free, and distributed through Everbright. There was a specific date when you were allowed to go online and reserve your group of tickets. The best part was that if your gues...

Mr. Jonathan Lane has invited your Captain to a special event, as I told him "I have been trashing the new movie quite a bit on the internet, but like Fox Mulder, I want to believe." So we will be able to ask questions and see the new trailer .... well before you. This will help me decide if I want to see the new movie.

I would like to annouce the creation of a new Blog page on the site, It will be set up to go hand in hand with the Science Probe of the USS Stephen Hawking on Facebook, although that page will be more comprehensive and have more information. This page will allow us to post the most important and interesting information directly to the website.

I hope you will find this Blog most illuminating if you are interested in Science and Space Exploration.

WELCOME SOME NEW MEMBERS TO THE CHAPTER

Posted on May 2, 2016 at 6:15 AM Comments comments (0)

I would like for you to help me welcome some new members to the USS Stephen Hawking.

Over the last two months we have added three new members! One an old friend Robert Whalley, Callsign: Buttons (I understand this is because this was the first thing he found on a archaeological dig) he could also be considered as cute as one, but that is a different tale.

Our next member is a new friend and I hope we can provide her with a few interesting diversions being a mom of a team of basket...
